Luchini Trujillo Structural Engineers is a consulting engineering firm which specializes in the structural design of buildings. The firm was established in 2014 and we have averaged 175 projects per year since inception. Project types and scope of work vary from structural assessments to the full design and development of construction documents for new buildings.

Luchini Trujillo currently employs four licensed professional engineers and four engineering technicians and has produced over 1,700 projects in our 10-year history. All engineers have master’s degrees in structural engineering with a combined 55+ years of experience and we are licensed to provide engineering services in eight states.

Structural Engineer (Entry Level)

As a member of our team, you will perform structural design for schools, museums, storage facilities, irrigation structures, retail, hotels, and restaurants. Your technical and project management skills will be honed by receiving mentorship from our Principal Engineers. You will be tasked to coordinate and communicate directly with our clients to develop projects from conceptual design into construction and final walk through. Be part of a team that will allow you to design and specify all structural components of a building – giving you a sense of ownership and accountability for the buildings within your community.

 

Job Description

Luchini Trujillo Structural Engineers, Inc. is currently in need of a Structural Engineer to work as a member of our team in Santa Fe, NM.

The ideal candidate:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Structural engineering design, analysis, and application of building codes for structural systems.

  • Creation of project construction documents (drawings and editing specifications) with AutoCAD and/or Revit.

  • Construction administration which includes shop drawing review and approval.

  • Field inspections.

Qualifications

Engineering Intern (EI) certification required or can be obtained within 6 months of hire.

Minimum Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (Master of Science in Civil Engineering Preferred)

Experience with AutoCAD is required, and experience with Revit and/or Microstation is strongly desired.

CAD Drafter/Designer/BIM Technician (Part-Time or Contract)

Job Description

LTSE currently has multiple opportunities for Structural Drafters. Ideal candidates will have a strong degree of initiative, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a dedication to accuracy in their work. This position works closely with all members of the team to complete various projects.

This role is being posted as temporary with the anticipation that it may become permanent in the future.  All positions will be filled in Santa Fe, NM.

The potential for virtual (telecommuting) work is available but on a contract basis.

Responsibilities:

  • Working closely with engineers using AutoCAD & Revit to develop structural drawings from preliminary concepts and sketches.

  • Create full construction documents for commercial and residential projects.

  • Actively working on improving drafting skills and increasing knowledge of structural design.

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Computer Drafting and Design or equivalent educational background from a recognized technical institute or university.

Structural Engineer College Intern

Job Description

This is a potential year-round, paid, opportunity that could lead to full-time employment upon graduation. Work directly with a mentor in your field of study while you finish your BSCE or MSCE. Schedule flexibility allows for part-time employment during the semester and full-time in the summer breaks.

The ideal candidate:

  • Is a dedicated self-starter that has the ability to interface and coordinate with other project team members.

  • Has strong organizational skills.

  • Is detail-oriented.

  • Can problem solve and work with limited supervision.

  • Can reliability commute to/from school to the office, and work in an office environment.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist engineering staff with structural design, analysis, and application of building codes for structural systems for projects throughout the United States.

  • Creation of project construction documents (drawings and editing specifications) with the use of AutoCAD and/or Revit.

Qualifications

  • Minimum college junior standing in an ABET accredited Civil Engineering program with an intent to complete a Bachelor’s degree (BSCE) and/or Master’s Degree (MSCE).

Additional Information

Experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit is strongly desired.
